My favorite Whitney Houston song was never promoted because HOUSE MUSIC  was considered “too black” and “too Gay” . No  video yet a HUGE hit on all the NY dance floors.the only real house track she recorded  in her early part of her career BUT no video and no radio promotion yet pumping  in EVERY nyc dance floor

 this was once of those eye-opening songs about the industry since she was huge yet they ignored this song. It signified that this vibrant new HOUSE culture exploding from the black and gay scene. it’s significance ,  a whole genre would not get radio promotion because if Whitney Houston didn’t get a  video  for this song signifying major labels weren’t promoting HOUSE MUSIC for a reason. 

The 15th Anniversary Body&Soul NYC compilation kicks off with this amazing tune.
