I’m shocked.   As a child, I was obsessed with Whitney Houston.  In my kindergarten days, I used to draw her all the time, especially in her metallic, pearly outfit from The Bodyguard.  Her voice, beauty, and spirit were something I just couldn’t get enough of.  I even had a binder where I collected tiny cutouts of her album covers from catalogues that came in the mail and dreamed of meeting her one day.  Her music was a huge part of my childhood.  In my teenage years, when I had learned about the extent of her drug addiction and the toll it had taken on her body and voice, I was devastated and joined many others in hoping she would eventually overcome her struggle.   May your music live on, Whitney Houston. Jon, I remember you telling me about this… so sad.
